Our Wedding Party

Eddie Mateo: Best Man

The one I've known the longest.  Eddie and I became close friends after spending several summers together camping with our families.  As kids, Eddie and I were about as opposite you could be.  My life was consumed by sports and Eddie's life was consumed by comic books and gadgets.  The one thing we did have in common was the goal of becoming police officers.  Eddie and I achieved this goal at the age of 21 and we've been working together ever since.   I'm proud to have one of my best friend's in life as my one of my partners at work.

Bill Carley: Groomsman

My best friend since First Grade.  We grew up in the same neighborhood and spent nearly every day of our childhood playing sports together.  At times our competitive nature nearly got the best of us, but in return helped mold us into who we are.  I've been on countless "Guy Trips" with Bill over the years from Vegas to Tahoe, and there is one thing I can say for sure- if there's a casino he's all in.  No matter what obstacles the future holds, I know I'll always be able to count on Bill.

Matt Sage: Groomsman

I'm not sure there is anyone more entertaining amongst my group of friends than Matt.  You can always count on Matt to be the center of attention (especially with a few beers in him), that is until about 10pm when it's time for him to pass out.  Matt also grew up in the same neighborhood as me and has been one of my best friends since day one.  There's nobody more reliable and dependable than Matt.

 Danny Cerecedes: Groomsman

One of the most loyal guys I've ever met.  Danny and I have known each other since we were small kids, but became real close the latter years of high school and there after.  Although I routinely give him a hard time for choosing a career (Firefighter) where he gets way too much credit for doing so little work, I'm proud to have such a great friend who is also in public service. Aside from Kathleen, I doubt there will be anybody on the day of our wedding that looks at their self more in the mirror than Danny.

Kristin Hoska: Maid of Honor

AKA Hoska. We met back when I was working at the pool.  It took a couple summers for us to figure out that we were meant to be but it was worth it in the end.  Let's just say the best summers were the ones we co-managed King pool, in the middle of the worst part of San Mateo; checking for broken glass on the pool deck every morning, locking the front doors when the crazies were around, letting the local kids sweep the deck as pay to enter the pool for the day, and hearing fights in the park next door. Yep, we mangaged to stay sane and have fun with a great group of lifeguards as we became great friends. From there, the rest is history!

Hoska is the one I call everyday, even to say "I just ran over a dead squirrel."  She's the one I call when I have a bad day and need to vent.  When I have a big test, she always makes sure to ask how it went.  We finish each other's  sentences and sometimes I think our brains are telepathically linked. She's there for me through rain and shine, thick and thin. The best part about her is that she always knows how to make me laugh.  :)

Lauren BollierBridesmaid

My most favorite cousin. Maybe it's because we are the same age and grew up in the same area that we became so close but we have been close since day one.  We have spent many holidays together with the whole family and more.  We have great childhood photos and videos together of which we will never forget :)  We are both big fans of the Giants and love to go to the games.  Although we may not see eachother as often as we'd like, we always pick up right where we left off! She is the best cousin one could ask for and I couldn't imagine getting married without her by my side.

Courtney Cohen: Bridesmaid

The one I've spent the most time with.  My best friend since Mrs. Mead's Kindergarten class. From classroom group activity to girl scout troop, houseboat trips to middle school dances, Mr. La Sala's student body to notes and journals, awkward highschool moments to roommates.  We have been through it all together.  She may not be into snowboarding like I am, or even snow for that matter, but she is down to hang out at the lodge or in the cabin while the rest of us do our thing :) We are different in so many ways but yet have stayed so close other the years. With her and her two sisters, there's always entertainment! She's always been there for me and our memories together are endless!

Kristin Nicholl: Bridesmaid

She's the sister I've had since day one. Maybe not from the same parents, but close enough. Her mom and my mom have known eachother since highschool. Looking back to early childhood, she was always there.  We may not have gone to the same schools, or had the same friends, or even been in the same grade, but she has always been like a sister to me. We have been on many trips together with our families; from houseboating to Pismo beach, San Diego to Oregon to see Grandma. We both swam on the same swim team for many summers and we have spent many holidays together. I may not see her often enough these days, but she is always considered the closet girl I've got.
